This preparatory course is for anyone entering directly into the first year of the Bachelor's program at EPFL after completing their high school diploma, baccalaureate, or equivalent. Regardless of your starting level, the supervision is personalized and progress is individualized. If you're going to EPFL this fall, this internship is for you.
Yes. The workshop is offered both in person in Lausanne and online. The program is identical, the format is the same, in small groups, and live. Sessions can be held in French or English depending on the participants.
Analysis, Linear Algebra, and Mechanics—the three subjects with the highest weighting in the first semester. They are also the subjects where the majority of failures in the preparatory year occur. We'll get straight to the point. These subjects are common to all sections.
You'll leave with three things: a solid foundation in key subjects, university-level study methods that high school didn't teach you, and a head start on the first semester's curriculum. The goal is simple: to ensure you're not caught off guard on the first day of classes.
One intense, focused week is better than three scattered weeks. We're not going to repeat your entire high school education—we're teaching you exactly what you need to know before entering EPFL, with the appropriate method and pace. Short, dense, effective.
Yes. What we teach is not just math — it's university work methods, pacing management, and concepts from the EPFL program that are not covered in high school.
Revising on your own can work, but the EPFL first semester program is very different from what you saw in high school—in terms of difficulty, pace, and the level of rigor expected. Knowing what to revise, in what order, and with what method is something you learn. That's exactly what we'll teach you in one week.
No, the (in-person) internship does not include accommodation. Lausanne has many options in August — hostels, sublets, short-term shared apartments. We can give you some suggestions if needed.
